One of the nice places to visit while in MD is the OC Fishing Pier, the pier has plenty of attractions for the whole family to enjoy. While there are many bays and streams to fish at in the state on the pier you can fish in the Atlantic Ocean, it has a boardwalk over the beach and it is connected to the Jolly Roger Amusement Park located right next door. When fishing off the pier their is no saltwater fishing license required here. Anglers can expect to catch one or all of the following fish species depending on the season off of the pier; striped bass, bluefish, croaker, sand perch, sea trout, ling cod, kingfish, spot, cobia and sea rays cruise the waters as well. If you are a shellfish enthusiast crabbing from the pier is fun here you can find; blue crabs, hermit crabs, spider crabs, horseshoe crabs and seahorses. The tackle shop right on the OC Pier has all you’re fishing and crabbing gear and equipment available for rental like nets, rods, bait and more. Before or after fishing check out the Amusement park full of carnival rides and games right off the pier facing the Atlantic Ocean.
