The Follys Beach Fishing Pier is located in Charleston, SC the pier is 1,045’ long and 25’ wide, it is said to be the second longest on the east coast. The Folly Beach Pier is visited by many tourist and visitors every year, the local anglers enjoy the pier as well for fishing. The pier has a seafood restaurant, a gift and tackle shop, the views of the Atlantic Ocean are terrific, and taking a stroll on the pier can be invigorating it also has direct beach access and showers available to all. If you are fishing on the pier a daily permit must be obtained and they are available for purchase at the gift shop and the wrist ban should be worn during the fishing duration. The pier has withstood the test of time it went a blaze in 1977 then in 1989 a hurricane caused even more damage to the structure. The pier was repaired and expanded in the mist of destruction, adding a tackle shop and restaurant, with live entertainment as well. The tackle shop has nautical souvenirs, rod & reel rentals and bait for purchase.
