Multiple tips on how to tow your boat safely are shown in this video.
When it comes to choosing a boat trailer to launch or haul your prized possession, most captains choose between the two most common types of trailers either galvanized steel or an aluminum trailer for their boat. Depending on who you speak to about the trailer topic you will get mixed reactions as to which is better in durability, cost and performance. Fishermen have recommended if you have a small boat or a small vehicle that will pull the boat then it is best to go with an aluminum trailer as they are more lightweight that galvanized steel so less wear and tear on your vehicle. Boaters must also take into account what types of water they will be boating in if salt or fresh water this makes a difference in choosing a trailer as well. Some boaters have reported that while the galvanized steel lasts must longer the trailers nuts and bolts on the galvanized get corroded easy and eventually will need to be replaced but the body lasts forever and are heavy in weight. There is not much of a drastic price difference between galvanized steel and aluminum trailers, they can be bought new, used or rebuild.
