On August 6-10, 2018, is the 45th Annual White Marlin Open in Ocean City, MD, at the Harbor Island Marina.  Anglers wanting to participate in this exciting tournament should register themselves or their boat and pay the entry fee of $1,000 per boat on or before June, 1st  or $1,350 after June, 1st, according to entry info.  There is no limit to the number of fishermen that can be registered to a boat.  Fees can be paid online, mailed in or paid in person at the Harbor Island Marina where the official weigh station is located.  According to the contest rules green sticks are not permitted and the fishing line class rating should be no more than 130lbs.  No dart gaffs, harpoons or laff gaffs are allowed.  Fishermen are allowed to fish all three days fishing hours are from 8:30-3:30.  The following are  the minimum lengths and weight requirements for fish to be able to qualify for prize money; White Marlin 70lb. & 67”, Blue Marlin 114” any weight, Tuna 50 lb.
