On December 14-17 is the 64th Annual Light Tackle Sailfish Tournament, in Stuart, FL at the Sailfish Point Marina and are presented by Stuart Sailfish Club. The fish species for this competition is sailfish and offshore fishing, entry fees are $1,000 for two anglers, tickets to kick off and awards. The tournament has five different levels anglers can participate in from Level A to E if a fishermen would like to enter all 5 levels of the competition the total cost would be $11,500. According to the rules from the Stuart Sailfish Club Registration can be paid online or mailed in, all boats entered into the tournament must be a minimum size of 30 ft. and all boats must have a qualified observer either one the club will assign to each boat or one that is qualified and must be signed in daily. The fishing will end at 3:30 pm promptly and the sailfish must be released the winners will be determined by how many sailfish they caught and released. No spinning reels are allowed and all natural dead bait and artificial lures may be used.
